Released to the Angels has brought me in contact with so many wonderful people.  By sharing our story I have, in turn, been able to share in the experiences of others.

 An incredible guy...my friend, Enzo. I actually met him in Albany, NY a couple of years ago when we both spoke at the State Legislature and again in Washington, DC.  Enzo has dedicated his life to fighting for a cure for Alzheimer's in a unique and personal way.  His project is called "10 Mountains in 10 Years"...he climbs one major mountain a year and plants prayers and wishes from loved ones at the top.  He is now creating a film with the same name with Liza Gibbons (whose mother has Alz).           

With me at the taping was Michele Muir, my friend and member of the Alzheimer's Association.  Michele's father died with Alzheimer's and she is a dedicated advocate, knowing first hand the need for research and funding.

For years I taught at the State University of New York at the Language Immersion Institute, in New Paltz, New York, and most recently at Vassar.  These language classes are different in that only the target language (in this case Spanish) is used, even at elementary levels.

The aim of immersion is to create a relaxed environment so that learning a foreign language can be active, non-threatening...
